How we got here!
The founder of Kensington Food Company; Thomas Sheridan, was an Executive for an Italian Food Importing Company for 10+ years. During that time he traveled to over 9 countries visiting farms, creating relationships, developing brands and becoming an industry expert. He even became a Certified Olive Oil Sommelier and Certified Balsamic Analyst and has judged competitions in London, New York and San Francisco.
In 2020, during the pandemic, he was fired by that company. He was sitting there with a mortgage, a wife and three young children during a pandemic when no one knew what was coming down the road next. It was terrifying. That is when he decided to take his passion and expertise that he has gained and just do it for himself. That is when Kensington Food Company was born.
April 2020 - Tom was Fired
May 2020 - Tom signed lease on first warehouse space in Kensington
June 2020 - The first shipment of product arrived in from Italy
From that point on, Kensington Food Company hit the ground running, growing year after year and now has a team of over 25 employees across the following facilities.

For the first few years, Kensington Food Company specialized in simply importing some of the best gourmet food from farms around the world (Olive Ol, Balsamic, Truffles etc.) and then slowly growing into domestic production making their own Sauces, Pasta, Pickles, Relishes and much more.
Kensington Food Company now has their brand in over 400 stores nationwide, still remains family owned, still remains Veteran Owned and still operates out of the Kensington neighborhood it has named itself after.
Kensington Food Company NEVER utilizes middle men or distributors. Everything we sell is either imported by us directly from a farm overseas or produced by us. When you purchase from Kensington Food Company, you are truly getting the best quality this beautiful world of culinary arts has to offer.
